Girl Scout Programs
Girl Scouting builds knowledge and self-confidence in young girls in grades K through 8 through the earning of various badges, signs and awards. Friendships and sensitivity to others are developed by learning to respect the needs, feelings and rights of others when making decisions and setting goals. Most importantly, they learn how to contribute to society in the spirit of faith and love. Our Girl Scouting programs are sponsored by the Parish Council of Catholic Women and include Daisies, Brownies, Juniors and Cadettes.
Boy Scout Programs
Cub Scouting is an early phase of the Boy Scouts of America, designed for boys in 1st thru 5th grades. First graders start as Tiger Cubs and progress thru the stages of Wolf, Bear, Webelo I & II. Cub Scouting encourages spiritual growth, good sportsmanship and pride in oneself. It prepares boys to become Boy Scouts. Troop 58 of the Boy Scouts of America is chartered by Knights of Columbus Good Shepherd Council 10685. The Scouts of Troop 58 learn and practice leadership skills while engaging in fun and educational scouting activities. Scouts earn merit badges and complete rank requirements by working on independent tasks and troop activities, including camping. Service to the Church, community and our nation is stressed.
